Please don't be offended if asked to take off your shoes!  We provide a little bench or stool so you can sit down and not struggle with boots etc.  We also have booties in case a buyer may have issues with taking them off.  It's just a little bit of inconvenience, but helps the owner's home stay fresh and clean especially of it is vacant and the weather is miserable!
