If you are a first time home buyer, get out there and start looking before everyone else gets the "good ones"! I feel this is a breath of fresh air in a stale economy! Think of who will be the beneficiary of this change: your friendly mortgage banker, the appraiser, carpet installers, your local appliance store, home goods stores and hardware stores! Finally, it makes sense to start at the bottom and see that the sellers of the smaller home will move up and buy a larger home! It may be a slightly larger home, but people are being much more cautious which I applaud!
