Sad News Today....

Today Real Living HER joins the Rouda family and the entire real estate community in mourning the loss of industry icon and founder of HER Realtors, Harley E. Rouda, Sr.

Harley E. Rouda, Sr., was born on February 25, 1929, and passed away in his central Ohio home in the company of friends and family today, June 28, 2012. Funeral and services announcements will be forthcoming.

Harley was recognized nationally and internationally as one of the pioneers and innovators of the real estate industry, and embodied the true entrepreneurial spirit. His company was started 1956 in the basement of his Upper Arlington, Ohio, home.  The rest, as they say, is history. 

 

My fondest memories were of Harley joking, teaching us about "seeing the people", and delivering cookbooks door to door!  The real estate community lost a legend and the end of an era is coming. 

 

Rest in peace, our friend. you will be missed and you were loved.
