Feedback feedback...

Since this is a real estate blog, I thought we would go over constructive feedback.

Did the agent who showed your home say that they hated color of the front door for the 15th time? Then, that is something that needs to be addressed in order to get the potential buyers to look past the front door and into your home!

Is the feedback something that you can't change? The size of the bedrooms, the view of the freeway, or the fact that your home doesn't have a formal dining room are things that say that you haven't found the right buyer yet. With staging, the bedrooms can look bigger, or some trees might help block the view but your agent should have all ready mentioned these things to you, right? Getting the best price means doing everything you can to ensure that it appeals to the most buyers.

One can neutralize to the point of making it too bland or stark white. The new "it" colors should be provided to the sellers who want to make their home stand out as move in conditions. Check with your agents and ask them to help you choose the right colors. It can make all the difference in the world!

We provide feedback to our clients via a service which allows the sellers to accesstheir feedback via web postings 24/7. They are given their own access code and we do not filter the messages so they hear the "raw" feedback. Sometimes it hurts and other times it can be rather funny. Together, we decide what may need to be improved or left as it is. Working through the feedback is part of the process and it is more important today than ever before!

Thanks for visiting! Susan

Hi Susan, I just found your blog!
I love the layout. How do you relay your feedback to your sellers? We have an issue with our agent not sending us feedback.

Thank you very much for your time. Tina

Hello Tina,

We email for feedback 4 times and if we do not get a response, we call them or fax for it. Agents are 75% more likely to send feedback if it is sent via email. Some agents would prefer a phone call while others would prefer us fax them for their feedback.

Feedback is an integral part of this business. Agents are normally professional and will give you feedback within 24 hours of the showing.

Good luck with the sale of your home!

Susan
