Do you EVER EVER send money to Africa when you see a home listed for rent on Craig's List?
The answer is:
NO! NO! NO!
I find it unbelievable that folks will call us as listing agents asking if a home is for rent and argue that they spoke "with the owner" who is living in South Africa. (Like we are just clueless agents)! Finally, after much discussion and explaining how the scam works, they will say "wow, I never thought that could happen in Ohio!"
It does. Don't every send money overseas for a rental. Period.
